FYBO COVID-19 Update

UpdatedThursday April 30, 2020 byScott Kay.

Hello FYBO Families,

As we’ve communicated throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the safety of our community remains our number one priority.  The Governor of Massachusetts has closed public schools for the remainder of the year and extended the stay at home order until at least 5/18.  Unfortunately, based on this guidance, we will be cancelling our spring baseball season.

What does the cancelled season mean to you: you will receive a full refund on your registration fee (returned on credit card or via check).  We ask that you remain patient while we process refunds.  As you can imagine, there are a lot of checks that need to be hand written / mailed out.  We’ll process refunds as fast as we can.

We remain hopeful that we may be able to run a recreational baseball program during the summer months (June/July/August).  The goal would be to create a season similar to our normal spring schedule, not an All-Star season.  We’ll continue to follow state & local official guidance on social distancing guidelines and whether a summer recreation season is possible.  However, we’ll only do this if we can keep you and your families safe.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate this unprecedented time.  If you have any questions, please let us know and we’ll try to answer them as best we can.

Thanks,

FYBO Board
