2017 / 2018 Bat Rule Changes

IMPORTANT BAT REQUIREMENT UPDATE FOR BABE RUTH (13-15yo)

The bat may not exceed 34" in length, and the barrel must be 2 5/8" in diameter. All aluminum/alloy barrel bats, and composite handle with aluminum barrel bats can be up to a drop 10 (example, if the bat is 32" in length it may not weight less then 22 ounces). Composite barrel bats (Easton Mako, Combat etc.) must be marked and certified BBCOR .50 ( example if the bat is 32" in length it must weigh 29 ounces also referred to as drop 3 or -3) Wood barrel bats conforming to the specifications of Official Baseball Rule 1.10 are allowed ( example if the bat is 32" in length it must weigh 29 ounces also referred to as drop 3b or minus 3)
